Happy 18th Shelby!!

So our Shelby Brooke turned 18 on the 30th of July. It was a bittersweet moment for this mama. I reflected on the past 18 years and couldn't believe the miracle that this beautiful daughter of mine was. At the age of 3 months she underwent heart surgery for a defect that began at birth. Then she had the chicken pox right after that, followed by 2 bouts with pneumonia. At the age of 6 we began the process of trying to get her jaw to fix itself without surgery. She has had more hardware in her mouth than a Home Depot. Finally she stopped growing and just this last Feb underwent double jaw surgery to correct her bite. She has always been such a blessing and joy to our family. After 7 brothers and 2 sons (Which are very much loved) we finally got this beautiful baby girl. She is a bright spot in my life and I love her energy and zest for life. Love you Shelbs!!

Money from Grandma is always a hit at our house.

She's actually wearing her birthday present, as we went shopping for her birthday, so I took all of her receipts and put them in this little bag.

AND....a Hollister hoodie.

This was one of the presents that I really didn't want to do but guess who won that one :) It really is quite cute.

Make a wish and blow out the candles.

She blew them all out in one breath!! YAY!!

Let's eat cake!!
